Robert Dotter, Esquire, graduated from La Salle University in 2012 with a B.A. in Philosophy and History. Prior to graduation, he was awarded the Philosophy Medal for outstanding scholarship. Mr. Dotter attended Widener University Delaware Law School where he received his J.D. in 2015.
After law school Mr. Dotter was admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Upon admission to the Bar, Mr. Dotter worked for a small firm in Philadelphia which specialized in Plaintiff’s personal injury litigation and handled some no-fault divorces and subrogation matters.
Mr. Dotter joined Ryan, Brown, Berger & Gibbons in February 2019. He is currently admitted to practice law in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. As an Associate Attorney at Ryan, Brown, Berger & Gibbons Mr. Dotter has handled every aspect of litigation from start to finish, including drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, taking and defending depositions and defending clients at jury trials through verdict. Mr. Dotter has arbitrated countless cases, successfully mediated cases from minor car accidents to catastrophic claims, including claims of sexual assault, and has negotiated creative resolution of cases with minimal expense and when appropriate uses the services of independent neutral arbitrators/mediators. Mr. Dotter also serves as a Certified Arbitrator in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Compulsory Arbitration Program.
Mr. Dotter concentrates his practice of law in various areas of insurance defense including contractual claims relating to first and third-party litigation, premises liability actions on behalf of homeowners and businesses and dog bite cases.
Mr. Dotter is a member of the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel (PADC).
